BMW Stay Alert Stay Alive Campaign
November 2011 
On November 17th and November 24th Step By Step Nursery was visited by representatives of BMW as part of their Stay Alert Stay Alive Road Safety Campaign. This initiative is designed to reduce the amount of road traffic accidents in the UAE. Parents were given free booster seats with advice on how to keep their children safe in the car. 150 booster seats were given to the parents of Step By Step. BMW also donated 8 mini Minis to the Nursery so the drivers of the future can learn about careful driving. |

PREP Program: Positive, Resourceful and Effective Parenting
November 2011 
On Sunday 20th November the first session of the PREP Program took place at Step By Step Nursery. Parents listened to Naeema Jiwani (MSc, MBPsS) talk about Behaviour Management Strategies as Different Ages. The presentation and vignettes provided opportunity for the parents to have open discussions and offer each other ideas they have tried. The next PREP session will be on January 15th 2012 on Promoting Positive Behaviour in your Toddlers. |

Small mouths – Presented by Drs. Nicolas & Asp
November 2011 
A staff member from the practice came to our nursery to speak to the children about dental hygiene and good dental care. Models were used to demonstrate to children how our teeth look and the effective use of a toothbrush. |

Ministry of Social affairs Atelier National Day Celebrations
November 2011 
On Thursday 24th November 8 of our FS1 children with Miss Shelley and Miss Nawa took part in an assortment of art activities to celebrate the occasion of the 40th National Day of the UAE, at the Center for Social Development in Dubai. The children enjoyed making the handprint flag and face painting. |
